Welcome to Cliffotel
Cliffotel sits on the cliff at Attamala, in Meppadi, on the Vellarimala side of Wayanad. It is a small property rather than a hotel — four villa rooms and a cottage — and most of what people remember about it is the view. The balconies look straight out over the valley, and for a good part of the year the mist comes up to meet them.
There is a swimming pool, a shared lounge, and a kitchen that cooks fresh through the day. Breakfast is complimentary. In the evening we set a camp fire out where the ground drops away. The Attamala view point and the glass bridge are about a kilometre off, an easy walk through the tea plantations, and Soochipara Falls and Chembra Peak are both within a short drive.
A word on getting here, because it matters: the last kilometre is an unmade road. A vehicle with reasonable ground clearance makes it much easier, and we are glad to come and collect you if you would rather not attempt it.
